Welcome to the Youth Services Department! There are public computers reserved for use by children and their caregivers, printing capability, free wifi and four AWE Early Literacy Stations plus more!

  • All print books have reading levels on the inside cover according to the Accelerated Reader program.

Tiny Explorers
Mondays at 10:00AM

For children ages 5 and under. Bring your baby or toddler to play in educational, sensory centers for a hands-on fun-filled adventure in learning and to interact with others the same age. Join us in our Story Room and Children's Garden area.

Baby & Me Story Time
Tuesdays at 10:30AM

Bond with baby. Develop early literacy Skills. Books. Music & movement. Rhymes. Stay and play afterward. For ages 0-18 months. | Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. 

Story Time
Thursdays at 10:30AM

For children ages 5 and under. Join us for singing, stories, movement, and more! Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver to attend.

Inclusive Story Time
Last Fridays of the month
3:30PM

Children ages 2-5 are invited to join us for an engaging story time designed to meet the needs and interests of children with varying abilities. There will be music and singing, movement, and stories with clear transitions, followed by a stay-and-play! All are welcome!

Family Crafters To Go!
New Craft kit available every Tuesday

For children and their caregivers. Pick up your free kit at the Children’s desk weekly, one per child, while supplies last. First come, first served.

Creation Lab
First and Third Tuesdays of the month through May
4:00-5:00PM

For ages 6-18. Take on exciting S.T.E.A.M. challenges using Legos, coding, electronics, craft supplies, and more. Build problem-solving skills, discover, and expand your creativity. | Each session will include a staff-led lesson and S.T.E.A.M. challenge, followed by free build time. Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Mobile Art Studio
Second and Fourth Mondays of the month through May
4:00-5:00PM

For ages 6-18. The Leesburg Center for the Arts brings their Mobile Art Studio to the Library! Learn about various visual art forms and create your own masterpiece. Taught by a real artist. Free! No registration required. Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
