 URGENT NOTICE:

THE CITY OF LEESBURG WANTS YOU TO STAY SAFE DURING HURRICANE IRMA:

The City of Leesburg Public Works Department requests that all residents secure trash cans and trash in order to help ensure your safety. Please remove all trash cans and trash from roadside. High winds can cause loose items, such as trash cans, can become projectiles and cause property damage and personal injury.

During an emergency situation such as a hurricane or tornado, the City of Leesburg

Emergency Operations Center (EOC) may be activated.  In those instances, updates will be posted on this page as they become available.

We encourage all citizens to be proactive and stay informed during emergencies.  Listen to the radio and local television stations for official announcements.  Subscribe to free e-mail and text alerts from local media news services.  Many government entities also issue information via social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.  Having a battery powered NOAA weather radio can provide timely warnings for hazards 24 hours a day.  Please be sure to follow all instructions issued by local officials.
