By City ordinance, anyone doing business in the City of Leesburg is required to have a business tax receipt. The specific citation for the business tax receipts is included in Part II Code of Ordinances, Chapter 14, Licenses and Business Regulations, Article II. Business Tax Receipts.

Application for a business tax receipt may be made at the Municipal Services Center building, across from City Hall on north 5th Street. Due to legal constraints, the application form must be submitted with original signature(s).

Leesburg Online Services for Business Account Management enables citizens to view tax receipt information over the Internet. Citizens can search for businesses and pay any outstanding balances for current and prior year tax periods.
