The City of Leesburg offers some of the best parks and recreation activities for the whole family. Award-winning facilities include Sleepy Hollow Sports Complex and Pat Thomas Stadium, which host local and national tournaments for adult and youth baseball, softball and otherPat Thomas sports. The Susan Street Sports Complex is home to league sports and individual games. Leesburg also hosts a wide variety of other fun activities including swimming, tennis, shuffleboard and a spacious, outdoor dog park.
BoatsThe heart of Leesburg is the beautiful, 64-acre Venetian Gardens park on the west shore of Lake Harris - one of the city's three boating and recreation access points to Central Florida's Harris Chain of Lakes. The award-winning Venetian Cove Marina provides a boat ramp, fuel, wet and dry dock storage and on-site boat maintenance facilities. The popular facility is Lake County’s first ever to earn Florida's Clean Marina and Clean Boatyard certifications – two major recognitions for helping to protect the state’s environmentally sensitive waterways.

Venetian Gardens includes several landscaped islands separated by tranquil, meandering canals. Sidewalks, pavilion, benches and seven wooden bridges are very popular runners, cyclists and nature-lovers. Ski Beach has picnic tables, outdoor grills, sand volleyball courts and a beautiful waterfront popular among fishing enthusiasts.   

The newly renovated Leesburg Community Building is one of the area's most popular and attractive venues for meetings, banquets, parties, weddings and other events. Reserve your next activity here with on-site catering, friendly banquet staff, the latest audio and videoCommunity Building equipment and rooms and seating to accommodate hundreds or just a few friends or business associates.  

Looking for more fun? Leesburg has two more waterfront parks with boat ramps and fishing spots at Herlong Park on U.S. Highway 441 and Singletary Park on U.S. Highway 27. Explore city history at the Mote-Morris house or the Historic Museum.
