The Lake County Library System offers free access to online reference databases to library patrons. An online database is a computerized collection of information on a specific subject or area. All of these databases serve as electronic libraries that contain enormous amounts of information. Patrons can access these databases from Internet computers at any member or branch library or from a home, school or work computer that has an Internet connection. The only thing you will need is your library card number.

You must use your library card number (barcode) as your User ID.
NewsbankNewsbank offers complete full-text content of local and regional news, including community events, schools, politics, government policies, cultural activities, local companies, state industries, and people in the community. Remote access is available for selected titles. Additional titles are available at Lake County Library System locations. Paid advertisements are excluded.
