On Wednesday, August 6, 2012 at approximately 1:45am the Leesburg Police Department was dispatched to 1704 Birchwood Cr. in reference to a shooting call.
The victim, Mr. Wilson George, was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his wounds. Mr. George had gone out for the night, and was returning home. He was unarmed and approximately 100 feet from his front door when he was shot.
The family stated that he had no known enemies and was well liked by everyone. It is unknown as to what the motive was for this crime.
