Heritage Estates Groundbreaking

The City of Leesburg broke ground for the HERITAGE ESTATES improvement project on Monday, July 11, 2005. The site is located at the corner of Indiana and Washington Streets in Leesburg (behind Dabney Elementary School).
Superior Asphalt Of Central Florida has been awarded the contract for infrastructure improvements in the amount of 2.1 million dollars. The project includes new water mains to Parker Street and the Southern half of Bisby Street. Utilities will go underground and new sewer will be built for all residences and lots. The project will also include new sidewalks, improvements to storm water drainage and roadways. Funding for the Heritage Estates improvements is through a partnership between the City of Leesburg, the city electric utility and a Community Development Block Grant.
