The City of Leesburg is located in Central Florida approximately 40 miles northwest of Orlando. The Leesburg Police Department services an area encompassing about 30 square miles with an estimated population of 19,000 people. We currently have 73 sworn Police Officers and a non-sworn staff of 35 civilians comprised of Communications Officers, secretarial personnel, and school crossing guards.
