The purpose of the class is to provide management to the volunteers who staff the Library’s Barbara Morse Bookstore on a daily basis. The class is responsible for providing oversight and coordination of these efforts, and to perform additional administrative duties which are not covered by the volunteer staff. The class works according to set procedures under direct supervision of the Library Director. Requires a high school diploma or GED. Requires a minimum of five years of experience in retail, business, or volunteer-based organizations like hospital auxiliary or charitable group. Experience in a library or bookstore is preferred, but not required. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
