Story Time & Tiny Explorers
Every Thursday, 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Children ages 5 and under are invited to attend Story Time at the Leesburg Public Library every Thursday morning at 10:30 AM. Come join us for stories, music and movement, and fingerplays followed by a "stay and play." Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver to attend. FREE.
The Story Time program introduces young children to books, rhymes, music, crafts, and other fun activities that develop early literacy skills. Every week the library offers programs matched to the typical attention spans and developmental levels of toddler and preschool age children. Parents and caregivers learn by watching and participating with library staff who demonstrate excellent read-aloud techniques. Caregivers become familiar with age-appropriate books, songs, music, and activities staff use during Story Time, many of which may be checked out from the library for home use.
