 Water Less Campaign

It’s that time of year again and your local water management district has launched their yearly Skip A Week campaign. Each winter as temperatures drop you may notice that your lawn  begins to reach a dormant stage. During this stage we encourage you to consider skipping every other week of irrigation, which will train your grass to require less water. St. Johns Water Management District recommends watering ½ - ¾ inch every ten to fourteen days. This amount of water is recommended due to cool temperatures and limited plant growth. Also, too much water in the winter may encourage pests and make your lawn less likely to survive drier conditions.
