City of Leesburg Grant Program


The City of Leesburg's Downtown Leesburg Building Redevelopment Grant encourages private investment which renovates selected multi-story and multi-use historic buildings located in Leesburg’s historic downtown. The program may provide as much as $250,000 per renovation project. Funds may be appropriated annually by the City Commission (and respective CRA Board) and funding shall be available on a first come first serve basis. However, the program is subject to the availability of funds, as determined by the City Commission (or CRA Board).

The City of Leesburg’s Façade, Signage and Landscaping Improvement Grant Program (FSL Grant)
 is a program designed to encourage private investment in visible exterior property, building and sign improvements that enhance the value of commercial/residential property; while meeting the intent and mission of the City to improve the aesthetics and ambiance of specific major corridors. The program may provide as much as $20,000. Funds appropriated annually by the City Commission and funding shall be available on a first come first serve basis. However, the program may be subject to the availability of funds, as determined by the City Commission.FSL Grants must support the goals of the City Commission and be in compliance with corresponding building signage, architectural standards and other City regulations.

The City of Leesburg’s Home Improvement Grant Program offers grants to the single family residential homes including façade, safety, and code violations. Participation in the grant program is based on a first come first serve basis and is limited to program funding determined by the City Commission. Some preference will be given to household income and location of the house within the City of Leesburg and its Carver Heights and Downtown Community Redevelopment Districts.
