Certificates for Business Tax Receipts are printed and mailed on or around the 15th of each month. If you have made your payment and have not received your certificate, please wait until the next date of printing. If you still do not receive your certificate, please contact our office.

By City ordinance, anyone doing business in the City of Leesburg is required to have a business tax receipt. The specific citation for the business tax receipts is included in Part II Code of Ordinances, Chapter 14, Licenses and Business Regulations, Article II. Business Tax Receipts.

Application for a business tax receipt may be made at the Municipal Services Center building, across from City Hall on north 5th Street. Due to legal constraints, the application form must be submitted with original signature(s). 

Online service for Business Tax Receipts

Leesburg Online Services for Business Account Management enables citizens to view tax receipt information and pay over the Internet. Citizens can search for businesses and pay any outstanding balances for current and prior year tax periods.

Payments may also be made by submitting the top portion of your renewal notice, with your form of payment via mail or visit our office at 204 N. 5th Street.
