Leesburg welcomes new electric director

LEESBURG, FL - The City of Leesburg is excited to introduce Mr. Brad Chase as the new Leesburg Electric director. Mr. Chase’s first day with the City will be August 5, 2019.

With significant experience in the Florida municipal electric industry, Mr. Chase’s background will complement Leesburg Electric. For over 33 years, Mr. Chase served in several different capacities at the Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC), ending his service in the senior management position of Director of Distribution Engineering/Electric & Water.

Through his employment with OUC, Mr. Chase will be able to hit the ground running as he has worked directly with the FMPA All Requirements Project, understands the issues facing Florida municipal electric utilities and is familiar with Leesburg Electric.

Mr. Chase is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Engineering.

Leesburg is a progressive city of more than 23,000 residents in northwest Lake County. The city government serves twice as many people with its electric, gas, water and wastewater public utilities. Leesburg is also a central hub for commerce, attracting 50,000 people to work each weekday. For more information, visit www.leesburgflorida.gov.
