Leesburg seeking citizens to fill board vacancies

     LEESBURG, FL – Applications are currently being accepted for openings on several Leesburg boards. Residents of the city who are interested in serving on the Police Pension Board, Library Advisory Board, Historic Preservation Board or Planning Commission should submit an application to the City Clerk’s Office by August 14, 2019.

     The groups generally meet once each month and length of terms, qualifications and responsibilities vary by board. The City Commission will review all applications and make its selections at a future meeting.  Terms for most boards will begin on October 1st.
