Leesburg government offices to close 
for Christmas and New Year’s holidays

     LEESBURG, FL – All offices and facilities of the City of Leesburg will be closed on Thursday, December 24th and Friday, December 25th for the Christmas holidays.  Departments will re-open on Monday, December 28th.  Offices will also be closed on Friday, January 1st for New Year’s Day, re-opening on January 4th

     The Solid Waste Division’s residential curbside collection service will not operate on these dates.  Residential solid waste will move from Thursday, December 24th to Monday, December 28th and from Friday, December 25th to Tuesday, December 29th.  Residential recycling normally collected on Friday, January 1st will be picked up on Wednesday December 30th.  There will be no change to dumpster service for any holiday.

     The Leesburg Public Library will close on Wednesday, December 23rd at 7:00 p.m. and re-open on Saturday, December 26th with normal operating hours.  For New Year’s, the Library will close at 5:00pm on December 31st and re-open on Saturday, January 2nd with regular hours.
