Singletary Park to close for maintenance

          LEESBURG, FL - Singletary Park in Leesburg, located at 1902 S. 14th Street, will close for parking area maintenance on March 22 and again March 29 through April 1.

          On March 22 the parking lot will receive initial prep work. 

          Beginning on March 29, crews will sealcoat and restripe the entire lot. That work is anticipated to take four days with the park expected to reopen on Friday, April 2.

          During the park closure, boaters can use the Venetian Gardens and Ski Beach ramps.

          Singletary Park is located on US 27 with direct access to Lake Harris.  In 1975, the park was dedicated to George L. Singletary, a long-time Lake County Commissioner. It is a popular spot with local fisherman. Amenities include a 2-lane boat ramp, public pier and restrooms.
