Leesburg Commissioners Pederson, Reisman and Berry to take Oath of Office

          LEESBURG, FL – Leesburg City Commissioners Mike Pederson, Allyson Berry and Alan Reisman will all be sworn in at the annual organizational meeting set for Monday, January 9, 2023 at 5:00pm.  The meeting will be held in the Commission Chambers of Leesburg City Hall at 501 W. Meadow Street. 

          Commissioner Pederson ran unopposed in newly created District 4. Commissioner Berry won election in District 1, while Commissioner Reisman won election in newly created District 2.

          Commissioner Pederson will be serving his second term in office.  He was selected as Mayor in 2022 and since taking office in 2019 he has also been the City’s representative to the Lake County League of Cities, the City’s Personnel Committee and the Leesburg Center for the Arts.

          Commissioners Berry and Reisman were both elected to their first terms in November.  John Christian and Dan Robuck each termed out of office.

          Commissioners Jimmy Burry (newly created District 5) and Jay Connell (newly created District 3) round out the five-member panel.
