LEESBURG, FL – Christmas in Leesburg just got even better thanks to sensational seasonal programming on Lakefront TV, the City’s own government television channel. Very Merry Christmas_Lakefront TV

The 49th Annual Leesburg Christmas Parade was held on Dec. 3 and Lakefront TV cameras captured the caravan of festive floats, bands, twirlers, cars, dancers and more. The premier airing of the parade is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Dec. 11, with a second airing at 9 p.m., and more airings throughout the holidays. (Check your local listings)

This Christmas, Lakefront TV also brings you two very special holiday specials:

• On Sunday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. tune in for “A Very Merry Christmas Carroll” featuring guitarist Mickey Carroll.

• Also on Dec. 11, at 8 p.m., check out “Sounds of the Season” with the Leesburg High School (LHS) Swing Band. Leesburg Mayor Jay Hurley hosts the show and even joins the holiday jam session as a guest pianist and also interviews student musicians. (Click the image to view the promo video).

The opportunity to experience the LHS Swing Band in holiday harmony is special indeed as these musicians are a subset of the nationally-acclaimed LHS Band. This year the LHS Band was recognized as one of only eight bands in the U.S. selected to participate in the President’s Cup U.S. Army Band Invitational. The three-day event is in March.
