City of Leesburg Will Close Offices and Facilities for Thanksgiving Holiday 
Much holiday fun will follow…


LEESBURG, FL – City of Leesburg offices and facilities will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25 for Thanksgiving holiday observance. Regular operations will resume on Monday, Nov. 28. 

There will be no garbage, yard waste, bulk items, appliance or recycling collection Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24 - 25. The Leesburg Public Library will close on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and re-open on Saturday, Nov. 26 with normal operating hours. 

Said City Manager Al Minner, “I join our City Commissioners and staff in wishing all residents of the lakefront city a fun, safe holiday.” 

The Thanksgiving holiday signals the start of several Leesburg holiday traditions including the Main Street Christmas Stroll on Nov. 25 followed by the 49th Annual Leesburg Christmas Parade on Dec. 3 and Light Up Leesburg on Dec. 4 at Venetian Gardens.
