- The City of Leesburg Electric Utility is reassessing “pocket” areas that are to have power restored. These pocket areas have 1,128 customers without power.
- Our current priority list consists of the following pocket areas:
- Stock Subdivision – 258 customers
- Frutiland Park at Fountain and Rose – 249 customers
- Stoer Island – 228 customers
- Treasure Island – 165 customers
- Loves Point – 164 customers
- Ravenswood – 125 customers
- Spring Lake Road and Pine Street area – 103 customers
At this point:
- Be cautious with generators. If you have a generator connected to you home, you may be creating a “backfeed” situation. Contact the Leesburg Electric Department if you have questions, at (352) 728-9830.
Please note: Your power may not be restored if the Electric Department believes there is a backfeed situation. - If you have sustained storm damage that may make it unsafe for your power to be restored – such as a damaged weatherhead -- you may need to contact a local electrician for assistance.
- Leesburg Electric crews will identify your home is unsafe for reconnection.
