The Leesburg Public Library is proud to present this amazing online database, exploring the history and culture of African Americans by providing rock-solid information from authorities in the field, and allowing African Americans to speak for themselves through a wealth of primary sources. Bus Service to the Library
The Lake Transit bus now stops at the Leesburg Public Library on Main Street. Riders can wait for the bus on the park bench under the awning on the Elk Street side of the main entrance. Other benches are available on Elk Street near the "Bird Watchers" sculpture under the oak tree. Stop by the Library to pick up a bus schedule.
Help Support Our Troops via "Operation Ziplock"
Our patrons and staff have already sent 710 care packages (in the form of one-gallon resealable bags of toiletries and personal items) to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan! For information about how to help, come in to the Leesburg Library or call 352-728-9790.
Rampaging Hormones

Florida Highwayman Art Exhibit

The Belle of Amherst
Ms. Kay Esposito presents scenes from the play "The Belle of Amherst" by William Luce about the life of poet Emily Dickinson.
