Leesburg seeking volunteers to fill board vacancies

     LEESBURG, FL – Applications are currently being accepted for openings on several Leesburg boards. Residents of the city who are interested in serving on the Fire Department Pension Board of Trustees, Carver Heights Community Redevelopment Agency or the Greater Leesburg Community Redevelopment Agency should submit an application to the City Clerk’s Office by October 4, 2019.

     These groups generally meet several times each year and length of terms, qualifications and responsibilities vary by board. The City Commission will review all applications and make its selections at a future meeting.  Terms for most boards will begin in January 2020.
