Leesburg modifies customer service operations

LEESBURG, FL - Due to the recent recommendations from the CDC, the City of Leesburg Utility Customer Service Department has adjusted operations to promote social distancing standards, which help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. As a result of these modifications, customer service wait times may increase.

In an effort to minimize inconvenience during this difficult time and reduce person to person transmission of COVD-19, the City encourages utility customers to utilize one of our other convenient payment options rather than coming into City Hall.

The drive-through window remains open and a payment drop box is located near the drive through lane. Bills can also be paid using a credit card, debit card or e-check using on-line services at www.leesburgflorida.gov or by telephone at 352-728-9810. You must know your account number which is printed on the top left corner of your utility bill to use the on-line option.

For assistance opening a new utility account or to make changes to an existing utility account, please call Customer Service at 352-728 9800.

In addition, the City will suspend utility cut-offs and late fees until further notice. This applies to all residential and commercial accounts.

Should you have any questions about this action please contact the Customer Service Department at 352-728-9800.

For information about other steps the City has taken to minimize the spread of the COVID-19, please see our website at www.leesburgflorida.gov.
