City of Leesburg facility closings update

LEESBURG, FL – In our efforts to follow social distancing guidelines related to COVID-19, the City of Leesburg previously closed the Venetian Center, Resource Center, gymnasium, Rogers Park pavilion and splash pad through May 1. To remain in compliance with CDC recommendations and Executive Order 2020-112 from Governor Ron DeSantis, and in coordination with other local governments, these facilities along with all other City offices will remain closed to the public until further notice.

As conditions related to the virus improve the Governor plans to issue additional phases for Florida’s recovery that will relax social distancing measures and allow for larger gatherings. As we progress through Florida’s reopening plan, the City will evaluate reopening public facilities.

Essential City services including police, fire, solid waste collection and all utilities continue operations at this time. The Leesburg Public Library is also open for drive through service. Details are available on the library website at www.leesburgflorida.gov/library.

Please check the City website at www.LeesburgFlorida.gov for the latest information
