Electric and Water Department Rebate Programs
The City currently offers two rebate programs which encourage residents to conserve our resources and save money. The Electric Department’s Energy Efficiency Rebate Program offers rebates for upgrading eligible appliances. Rebates are applied as a credit to the customer’s utility bill and are available to owner-occupied Leesburg electric residential customers who install equipment that meets program criteria.
Rebate funds are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Forms and additional information are available on the Electric Department page of the city website at www.LeesburgFlorida.gov/electric. Customers can also call 352-728-9786 ext. 2066 for details.
The Public Works Department launched a Water Conservation Incentive Program in October. This initiative is designed to reduce water waste by encouraging customers to upgrade inefficient household fixtures and irrigation systems. Rebate amounts vary based on the item being upgraded.
Pre-approval is required for this program. Customers who wish to participate in the water rebate program must contact the Water Conservation Coordinator to determine funding availability prior to making any purchase. Please email Public.Works@leesburgflorida.gov or call 352-435-9442. Information can also be found on the Water Conservation Incentive and Rebate Program webpage at www.LeesburgFlorida.gov/wcrebates.
