As customers are experiencing higher utility bills due to increased fuel costs, Leesburg Electric is pleased to provide a new self-service on-line tool allowing customers to estimate their utility bill and obtain an energy audit specific to their home and lifestyle.  The Utility Planner Tool is designed for multi-service utilities including electricity, natural gas and water and provides an actionable report identifying areas for saving possibilities.  The report allows the homeowner to simulate usage, track changes in their home and take control of their own consumption.

The Electric Department is also happy to announce the expansion of the Energy Efficiency Rebate Program.  To assist customers that invest in energy efficient appliances and products, Leesburg Electric is now offering rebates for additional qualified items.  The list includes Heat Pumps or Solar Water Heaters, Hot Water Heater Timers, Residential Central Air Conditioners, Ductless Air Conditioners, Room Air Conditioners, Dehumidifiers, Programmable Thermostats, Duct Testing & Repairs, Ceiling Fans, Clothes Washers and Dishwashers.
