City of Leesburg launches special events

          LEESBURG, FL - Leesburg is pleased to announce the hiring of Maggie Lyden as the Special Event Manager for the city’s new event division. Lyden brings a wealth of experience to the position and will lead a team of staff and volunteers tasked with providing high-quality events for the community following 28 years of successful events presented by the Leesburg Partnership. The city is committed to upholding the legacy of excellence established by the Partnership.

          The first event to be hosted by the city of Leesburg will be the highly anticipated Leesburg Christmas Festival, scheduled for December 2, 2023. The theme of the parade and festival is, “A Christmas Cinema Spectacular”. This joyful celebration promises to bring the holiday spirit to residents and visitors alike.

          “The city of Leesburg would like to express its sincere gratitude to the community for their continued support,” said City Manager Al Minner. “As we move ahead, we look forward to creating memorable experiences and fostering a sense of unity through our exciting lineup of special events.”
